Extremely average experience. The food quality did not justify the prices. I ordered the fish and chips, and it was just average at best. This will definitely be my last visit. On top of that, there was an additional surcharge added to the bill. I thought those COVID-era surcharges were a thing of the past. Overall, I left disappointed and don’t feel the experience was worth the cost.

We enjoyed a few appetizers while watching Canada 🇨🇦 play in the World Cup! Buffalo Shrimp- excellent! Shrimp Scampi - outstanding! Lobster Bisque- fabulous. Oh- we also had Roasted Brussel sprouts too- so good! They served us some wonderful crusty bread as well. We love Shaw’s!!!

I’m finally getting around to writing a proper review of our experience here back in February. My wife and I came here to celebrate my birthday. Our server was wonderful, however the salmon dish my wife was served had 2 metal pellets embedded within the potato side. The first bite she took that had the first pellet, she thought it was just a hard crispy piece so she spit it out and set it aside, not seeing exactly what she bit down on. She continued eating, until she bit down hard on an even larger pellet, which was sent back to the kitchen to show them and never returned back to us as evidence. I’m not sure if these pellets were broken off from a kitchen utensil, or where they could have come from, but this immediately ruined our dinner once we figured out that it was a foreign object, and my wife’s tooth was hurt. Upon speaking with the manager, our bill was zeroed out, and she took down our information for corporate to reach out to us. We heard from corporate the following Monday, an insurance claim was started, and my wife went to her dentist for x-rays. Luckily there wasn’t any permanent tooth damage, only bruising. The theming and atmosphere were top notch. The service was also some of the greatest I've ever experienced in any restaurant, and I've been to some fancy places in France. The food left a lot to be desired. For a place called a "Crab House", it was bizarre that the menu had only two actual crab selections. One of which was 1.25 lb of king crab (three legs, based on my observations of other tables) for $215, or a small soft shell crab for $50. The soft shell crab didn't really have much taste to it. The kind server removed it from the tab as my family member just didn't like it. I had the seasonal seafood pasta with lobster. That was spectacular. My spouse had the halibut and is still talking about how great it was. Aside from my pasta, however, the portion sizes of the other meals didn't match the pricing. It's hard to square up how little crab you get for $215, which isn't the case at other places. Even the sides are small. So, I'd recommend Shaw's for a luxurious seafood restaurant where theming and service are weighted above all else. If you're a crab enthusiast or want to leave on a full stomach, go elsewhere.

The crab and steak were absolutely perfect — fresh, well cooked, and full of flavor. Those were definitely the highlights of the dinner. The fish dish was unfortunately too salty, and the soup wasn’t very impressive. Oysters- not the best for sure.. It didn’t have much flavor and didn’t match the quality of the other dishes. The restaurant itself has a nice classic atmosphere and the overall experience was good. Not perfect, but still a solid place for seafood, especially if you’re ordering crab or steak.
